Flat screen corner installation in Whiteford, MD

This flat screen TV installation was done in Whiteford, Maryland. The entire kitchen of this Whiteford home has been remodeled including floor, counter tops, cabinets, appliances, and bar area. There was just one finishing touch needed and that's why they called Digital Edge. We all agreed that the corner of the room was the best place for the new flat screen TV. After taking some measurements we concluded that a 37" would be the best size to fill up the corner and give anyone standing in the kitchen a great view.

Installing a flat screen TV in a corner can be a little tricky. With a smaller size TV we would have been able to go with a small mount and just use toggle bolts to hold the TV in place where ever we needed it to be. However this larger 37" LCD TV the installation really demanded that the corner mount be attached directly to a wood stud. Of course the builder did not put the studs exactly were we would have liked them to be. That is why we used an articulating mount with an extra long reach or "boom" arm. This gave us the flexibility to put the flat screen TV in the right place and secure it to a wooden stud. If you could see the installation from underneath you would see that the boom arm is folded about all the way to the right and mounts to the wall about 2" behind the right side of the TV frame.

Having the TV installed in this corner made it easy to place the DirecTV receiver on the top shelf of the pantry. A NexGen remote control repeater is used to communicate between receiver and remote with the pantry doors closed.

This corner mounted flat screen TV installation has a very clean look, and is a great size TV for the room. If you like this installation and live in Maryland give Digital EDGE a call today and schedule an installation. www.DigitalEdgeHD.com 410-322-3024
